I recently moved out of my flat in Manchester city centre as I was bored of living by myself and couldn't really afford it, but having since temporarily moved back in with my family I'm already climbing the walls and looking to move somewhere else once Christmas and New Year are out of the way.

So the (main) question I'm putting to you is, is Chorlton a good place to live? I'm fairly sure a few people on here dwell around there and I could do with some pointers. I'm thinking of looking for a house share, so how much should I be looking to pay per month? I don't really want to pay anything above £350 if I can get away with it.

Which websites are good for finding this sort of thing, bearing in mind I would like to end up with decent people and not wacky idiots? I have had a cursory glance at Gumtree but couldn't see anything relevant.

What do you Chorlton types do with your spare time? Would I be better off moving somewhere else like Withington or Fallowfield, perhaps? Basically, I want you lot to run my life because I'm not very good at it.
