Music Social More…

Seeing someone you vaguely know from work early on into your commute to work.

DaveMK [Edit] [Delete] 10:28, 10 December '10

Awkward.

This morning I got on the tube, and with 8 stops left found myself opposite someone I've met once at a work function. By the next stop almost everyone around us had gotten off the tube, so tough to avoid. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed him clocking me.

I don't like talking to anyone until I arrive at work, so I decided to shut my eyes for the duration of the journey, feigning tiredness/intense-music-listening, then jump off at our stop and hurried ahead of him and out of the station, deciding to walk the last 1/2 mile rather than hopping on the bus I know he would.

Is this weird? Do you feel uncomfortable in these situations? Or am I just impolite?

COMMUTING ETIQUETTE!
