Contemporary Fiction

oneforghost [Edit] [Delete] 02:30, 12 December '10

ummm...i know this isn't going to hit off now, but i was thinking earlier today how i can name 5/6 film directors working mainly this side of 2000 that i really love...but the apart from the odd book from an older author, most 'modern literature' i like (stuff like, idk, Elfriede Jelinek, Kenzaburo Oe, kinda Dennis Cooper, people like that...wrote their best work in the 80s or 90s.

SO...my question is who are the really good authors writing interesting books today, and how do people keep in touch with less mainstream literature. Are there blogs and things? if this doesn't exist, why not, when so much good music and film is being made? seems odd.
(for the purpose of this discussion i should probs. point out, i mainly like books involving existential angst and rimming.)

cheers, bye.
