WHY? FOR LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SACRED, WHY?

I'm not talking about old ladies, who are passed caring. I'm talking about well turned out women who OBVIOUSLY take real time and care over their appearance - delicately plucked eyebrows and carefully applied make up etc.

How do you miss that thing on your upper lip?!

I'm seriously curious as to how this happens. (just got served by such a lady in Superdrug).
