Anyone got any thoughts on why British-Asians are so under-represented in top-flight English football?

Whilst I'm not enough of a football-buff to know the entire squads of every Premiership team, I couldn't name any English players of Indian/Pakistani etc descent - as far as the wider public are concerned there may as well be zero.

I wouldn't have imagined there's any cultural reason for this, British-Asian youths are just as likely to be into football as any other, I definitely remember coming up against some excellent Asian players when I used to play for my school team.

So, any insight?
