Let's have a massive bants/shabs thread.

automatik [Edit] [Delete] 17:26, 15 March '11

My typical working day is 4pm-12.30am. By the time I get home it is usually past 1am, and I stay up for a few hours to unwind, then get up around midday. This is my pattern which is to a large extent dictated by my job.

My dad keeps ringing me at 8/9/10 in the morning, despite my polite protestations that these are unsociable hours for me. Yesterday morning he rang me at quarter to ten. I was fast asleep, having only been to bed about five hours ago. I pressed cancel call, and five seconds later the phone started ringing again. I answered, assuming it was important, and it was my dad asking about whether I wanted to do something that evening, full of 'Oh, were you asleep? I thought you might be' wink wink wink jollity. No apology or anything.

So last night (depending on your definition of 'night') I called him at 4.30am. He answered, and I asked whether he fancied going to the pub to watch the United match, as it was on Sky Sports. He asked what time it was etc, I said it was 4.30, he said to call back the next day. At the time I considered this MASSIVE BANTS but today he is clearly very annoyed with me. Have I just reacted in an impudent, spiteful, and childish manner?
