Oddest way you've disposed of a house spider?

ThierryEnnui [Edit] [Delete] 11:58, 8 April '11

Now that we've determined the average land speed of a large house spider, what's the strangest method you've used to dispatch one? Me and my housemate once spent a good 25 minutes trying to get rid of a particularly huge fucker that had taken refuge in the inner workings of a large discarded television that sat under our stairs the entire time we lived in that house. We smacked the TV with a vacuum cleaner attachment nozzle until it ran out, and chased it around the carpet with a dustpan until it eventually tried to hide in the tubular metal structure of a broken folding chair. Sensing our opportunity, we held the broken ends of the chair together and gaffer taped it closed, trapping the spider inside, before throwing the chair in to the back garden from where some local scallywags later stole it.
