Thursday Gaming Thread

Not too much to report. The big imminent release is Portal 2. In fact it may be out today? I'm still trying to work out if my old flat white iMac will run it with an OS upgrade. The specs are here for you fellow Mac & PC purchasers.

Normally a lack of a review prior to release would concern me but as it's Valve, they've chosen to take 4 years developing it and given how awesome the original was I can only see it being great.

In other news Wii price cut imminent in the States, once again backing up claims that a Wii 2 or Wii HD is coming. Nintendo AGAIN deny this and say we've got LOADS of new games coming out. Like... erm... Wii Play 2. Oh, that's ok then. I really ought to get my shit into gear and sell the thing whilst I can get a fair few quid for it.

The new Resident Evil game is being developed by a Western company and promises it'll be action based and involve team based gameplay. My heart sinks.

This game looks AMAZING:

Erm, I think that literally is about it.

I'm still playing Red Steel 2. Flawed but sporadically awesome, if far too repetitious. I'm convinced that if they simplified the controls though a touch and made you a slow moving ninja, then it'd be immense. The remote could control your grapple when pointed at your screen and your sword when not. Someone let the original Tenchu team do it, eh?

What are you playing? Do you still care about games? I think I'm losing my taste for (most of) them.
