A 'happiness gene' has been identified.

Presumably it will be possible to select for the 'efficient' version of the gene. Presumably, if parents have this option, and do not choose it, they are increasing the likelihood of their child not having as happy a life. So should governments actively force/encourage parents to select children with this variant of the gene, if/when possible? I think yes, definitely.
