Fair game or out of order?

One of my team members is a veggie and gets huge amounts of stick, especially when we all go to the lunchtime buffet nearby and he eats less than us despite his lack of protein.

None of us obviously mean anything by it, it's just an easy gag.

Where do you stand?

Vegetarians should be applauded / lambasted / both / neither.

(Sub-thread: Veggie curry is probably better than meat curry, isn't it? But slightly inferior to awesome seafood curry)
