i've lived in my current house for 2 and a half years. we have a fairly large garden (c.10m x 20m maybe?). when i moved in, the garden was overgrown with weeds about 5 foot high. then a month or two ago, the landlord had a fellow come around, and the only things left were a few paving slabs and a couple of weeds here and there.

the weeds are now, like the water, mama, and de le soul, three feet high and rising. we've got nettles and dock leaves and other things i don't recognise.

how do i get rid of them? what do i do? between us we have no interest in doing the gardening weekly or whatever, and it'd be nice to have a place to for eating of a barbeque in.

we don't have a lawn mower, and there's not really any grass, just soil, paving stones and so much weedy folliage.
