A bit of an addition to TheSoundofBastards thread really but thought it might deserve its own thread

I've recently been recording vocals but am not too confident at how to mix them so the song sounds tight and cohesive - at the minute its more like there's 'some music with words over the top'

Any recommendations of particularly useful VSTs that might help with this, or any generic mixnig tips which might help?
