I went to my dad's last night. The speeches were actually pretty awesome, the food was good-not-great, and he got some nice presents (mainly money for a new greenhouse for his allotment).

It was all pretty brilliant really. Have you been to any/many? What do you hope you'll receive one day when you retire? A pocket watch? A good pen?
