In light of CCB's thread about threads you thought to start but didn't...

The other day I walked into a public bathroom just as a woman walked out of one of the cubicles, in a split second decision I walked straight into the cubicle she had walked out of. My gag reflexes were not prepared for the wall of stench that hit my nostrils but instead of turning around and walking straight out, my guilt kicked in and I thought that if I walked out this poor woman would see me and feel embarrassed about the smell she clearly left and so to save this strangers feelings I endured and eye-watering, intensely forced out pee. And I wondered if I was the only person who feels the need to take random strangers feelings into account.

Do you ever have things you do out of guilt that involves a random person you'll never see again just so you won't hurt their feelings?

Or do you end up enduring something horrid/painful/leaving somewhere just so strangers won't think less of you (even though you will never see them again)
