Kaboom (the new Greg Araki film)

marckee [Edit] [Delete] 10:43, 20 June '11

Anyone else seen it yet?

We saw it last night, and it was terrific, lightweight, enjoyable fun. It goes from horny hotties having lots of sex to a hysterical fantasy finale via pin-sharp, primary-coloured horror and deadpan sarcasm. Everything is so crisp and beautiful - from the people, the clothes, the buildings and to the shoegazey soundtrack from the likes of the Depreciation Guild.

It’s a bit Lynchian with all the dream-sequences and visually it reminded me of Clockwork Orange, but it’s still unmistakeably Araki.

Go see!
