Since venturing to New Zealand four years ago - or perhaps because I'm edging nearer 30 - I've flipped from being one of those people who thought coffee was pretty shit burnt tasting feces to becoming a bit of a fan of the dark stuff.

So I thought this week I'd start a question each morning about coffee and see what sort of knowledge the DiS hive has to offer. Today's inaugural question:

What's the best coffee you've ever had in the UK? Are any of the chains surprisingly good? Points for the coffee itself but also feel free to bang on about the places themselves....

My number one is probably Monmouth Coffee, especially in Rough Trade listening to musics and reading Stool Pigeon - indiest coffee in England?
