We've got a work experience guy in today. He's turned up in jeans and a t-shirt. Three points:

1) Is that really what you think a reporter wears? Do you watch TV or the news?
2) At no point in organising the placement did you think to ask what the dress code was? Not much initiative there sonny.
3) Surely if you had no idea what the dress code was, but you knew you were going to an office, and you probably wanted to make a good impression, surely you'd play it safe and go at least smart casual?

Still, he's better than the guy who we didn't even give a placement to, because his mum rang in to organise it for him. He was 18 years old.

Please share your stories of crap work experience kids in your office, or indeed, stories of your own crap work experience. My placements were always a bit shit and very boring, but I always seemed to impress someone. One of them gave me money at the end, which was a fucking bonus.
