listening to conversations on the train...

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 08:18, 23 June '11

this is one of the greatest things in the world. however,

i think last night i got a bit too invested in the conversation i was eavesdropping on..

it was a really nice, pretty woman, probably in her early thirties, and she was talking about the exams she has just done for work and how she's had to move out because her boyfriend split up with her IN THE WEEK OF HER EXAM, the exam she'd be working so hard towards since September. and now it's hard moving back so far away from work but her mum has been really helpful but it's sad because all her friends are married with kids now, but there's still Helen, her closest friend, who has a kid, but is a bit older and really lovely so they can still do things together. and then, it turned out that she was calling her ex-boyfriend and she was talking about meeting up, but she was worried about how his girlfriend would be about him seeing her. so i thought it was probably a bit of a desperate tipsy call for a soothing familiar voice that could still make her feel loved.

anyway.....after all that, i can't believe this woman is just gone from my life. i feel like i invested so much in her with that eavesdrop, and now i'll just never know how it turns out. will she get back to crouch-end? will her and the guy on the phone meet up? how will his lady take that? will she ever meet the man she wants to settle down with and create a good work/life balance?

i'm half tempted to stand outside the station she got off at and wait for her all day with a bottle of wine and an adventure planned to take her mind off of her idiot ex. we could have an amazing day together, getting drunk on the pier and maybe even falling in love or something, i dunno man.

erm.....yeah. so.....snooping eh? pretty great.
