hey, camera people, should i buy this camera?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 11:11, 27 June '11

some caveats.

first...it's a lomography camera!!! AAAARRRRGGGHHHH....we're all gonna burn alive in an Urban Outfitters styled hipstergeddon, etc etc.

secondly, i first saw it in the Observer magazine. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH...middle class glossy telling me what to buy on a sunday what can't i just fucking think for myself instead of getting spoon-fed by this filth why don't i just fucking shove a nigel slater recipe card up my fucking arse and get myself off.

fucking hell. but. if you can find it in your hearts too look past those two awful details which make me an awful person, what do you think of these cameras.

why they appeal

1. cheap. only 50 notes for a camera i might get a lot of use out of. i'm very poor and can't really justify spending anything more than a fifty on a camera.

2. easy to use. because i'm an idiot.

3. maybe when i get some more money, i'll get a better camera. maybe one that isn't a stupid shitty one like this that i'm sure is awful quality in the big camera scheme of things. but whilst i'm poor and bored of not taking pictures like i once did, and just want a quick and easy start maybe this might be a good little starter to get me back looking at things and pointing a camera at them.

thoughts?

are they ok or should i avoid it like any respectable person would.
