So, I have around three weeks from the middle of July off work, and at the moment the plan is to get a cheap flight to somewhere in Holland/Germany and spend the time in Europe going from city to city by train, spending 2 or 3 days in each place. At the moment the only definites on the list are Amsterdam and Cologne, so if anyone has any recommendations or grand ideas feel free to share them- particularly if anyone knows of any good one-day festivals or the like going on, thought something like that would be good to break things up. If I go further afield it'll likely by east so Spain/France/Italy are pretty much out. I realise this is all hopelessly vague, by the way, but that's kind of why I'm asking, I'm open to anything.
