Great film locations

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 11:24, 14 July '11

I was talking to my mate who is driving across the States soon, and we got talking about how excited he is about staying in motels. And it got me thinking about how iconic they were in great cinema scenes.

So here are notable motel scenes:

1. Psycho - Obviously. It put them on the map and made them scary places.

2. No country for old men - Dramatic and brutal shoot out scene.

3. Memento - the central hub grounding the film and which helps us to know what order the scenes are playing out in.

4. Me myself and Irene - All good road movies and teenage flicks need scenes involving post-sex weeing in motel rooms.

What other locations have made for epic scenes? Crop fields? Waterfalls? Mount Rushmore? Submarines?
