have you ever spontaneously relocated somewhere? I've only ever really moved towns twice, once from London to Manchester, then from Manchester to London again 7 years later.

Me and the gf had a vague plan to go on a trip in a year or so's time, then think about changing our living situation, maybe moving abroad or to the countryside or something.

Now, completely out of the blue, she says she wants to apply for this job in Trondheim, Norway. She just told me over the phone and I think I freaked out a bit. Basically I'm not moving to Norway in the near future, I know I'm not, but I can't help but feel I'm being unreasonable, as the job would be good for her.

Firstly - have you ever decided to up sticks and leave without much forward planning? And most importantly, did you go to northern Norway?
