Maybe not the ideal Saturday evening thread but I want to buy a rowing machine and could do with some advice.

I know I want one of the ones where you grip a bar with two hands and pull it towards you rather than one where you grab something on either aside. I don't know a lot else.

So questions:

a) What else should I look for?

b) Are there significant advantages so spending, say, £600 over £200-£300 if you're not an experienced athlete?

c) Any recommendations?
