Re: the question in the football thread about English football fans preferring one of the Glasgow two. I'm a Celtic fan, and will be watching FA Trophy holders Darlington's undoubtedly glorious return to the giddy heights of League 2, but when it comes to the shiny, money-stuffed big time, I don't really have an affiliation, which is a shame as it's always better to have a horse in the race, however arbitrary. Would you prioritise a tied-on championship contender, or attractive, flowing football, or underdog likeability, or obstinate, workmanlike grit? What traits do you think make for a worthwhile team? Would you recommend your own team objectively as the best to follow in the league? Or do you have a grudging respect for a team other than your own?
