Big Issue sales and marketing

Smee [Edit] [Delete] 12:58, 5 August '11

How come Big Issue sellers don't shout out: Big Issue please? Big Issue sir?, all that stuff? They used to, but now it seems like they're not allowed too.

I know there were already loads of strict rules about where they are allowed to stand and about accepting donations and food, but it seems this is a bit too harsh.

On the high st now you've got annoying student types starting random conversations and following you down the street to get your bank details to save the tiger or something, but the Big Issue man has just got to stand there waiting for your charity.

He/she can only rely on the quality of the magazine to boost sales, and lets face it, its a fucking rag.
