Please share your most memorable sartorial regrets, those outfits you thought were great at the time, but wince over now.

I have always been a very boring, conservative dresser, so there's a not a lot of outrageous mistakes in my history. The one I do regret is when I first went to uni and had to pose for the usual new intake photos, and realised I needed a suit (I didn't know this before). I quickly assembled a rag-tag assembly of a suit jacket I had from a charity shop, a pair of smart black jeans, a black shirt, and a blue and pink tie from M&S. It looked awful. I think I was aiming for mod but ended up spod. And the picture evidence now haunts the rooms of many of my relatives.
