one of my best friends sister committed suicide, and i'm the first person he's told about it outside of family (i don't know why, but the details haven't been released publicly). a couple of my friends have died young, and i've family members pass away, but i'm not used to being there solely for someone else, even though i did know his sister.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
