I've come to realise that the main reason I buy 'papers now is for crosswords, puzzles and sport. Obviously news is important but not so much considering the 24 hour news fart world we live in.

I buy two a day, usually.

The Times: decent sports section, though I can't stand Simon Barnes' writing. The business section can provide some decent leads for work, too. Crossword does me good as well.

The Sun: Purely for the sport section as it is usually a laugh, and i like the fact the crossword has both cryptic and normal clues with the same answers. And it's only 30p, ffs.

My mate does a similar thing, but for more informative purposes...he buys The Times (as well as The Week), then buys either the Sun and The Daily Mail. When I asked him why he did that he said he reads the The Times/The Week for his news, then reads the others to understand what the majority of people are being informed.
