- how long did it take you to learn to make something you could wear out and not be embarrassed? Did you take a course/learn from a parent or friend/teach yourself?

- did you spend lots of money on a new sewing machine? or will an old one do?

- where do you buy your patterns from? I want to make a simple shift dress and a pencil skirt
