Have you ever conciously stopped being friends with someone? I did last year; a destructive manipulative girl alienate my friends first, and then me, and I stopped talking to her, explaining the siuation. She has since manouvered her way back into some peoples social view, and has contacted me a few times trying to 'reconcile'.

It's quite a lot harder than breaking up with someone, and i wonder if it is because there's less of a nominal reason for the outsider to understand; more obvious to understand a break up of an intimate relationship compared to a friendly relationship.
