It's not that much fun really, is it?

I was all excited on Friday popping up Wickes, getting the paint, covering the room in a dust sheet.

After 3 days of solid painting though, the somewhat lacklustre end result means my love of it is on the wane already.

I don't think being a slight perfectionist helps, as I genuinely couldn't sit there watching telly last night because I KNEW there was a weird patch of wall behind the sofa which was a slightly different hue to the rest of the room.

In summary; I'm not very good at D.I.Y.

Are you? Have you got any tips for when I paint the next room - eg. thickness of coats of paint, masking tape solutions that don't ruin your hard work, etc.? Did you do some?

The best thing about having to do it was the 3 days solid of 6music I enjoyed.
