but the shower knob is completely stuck, it's like this handle that turns 360, cold to hot. but it's completely stiff, it just won't budge, i've tried hitting it with a hammer, pouring vegetable oil over it, nothing works

i really seriously need a shower...is there some magic plumbing trick that you real adults know of?
