hey......erm...ok

well....a thread like this is certainly risky business. but i was just wondering if anyone had any details/stats on woman getting paid less in their jobs merely because of their gender.

i read some throwaway line in which the writer spoke as if this disparity was a stone cold common fact of life. and as i thought about it, it seemed so insane that i almost thought it must be an urban myth for this to still be happening in 2011.

NOT THAT I'M DENYING THE FACT THAT IT DOES HAPPEN..

but....it just baffles me that it could happen.....and wondering under what circumstance could this happen, etc.
