xxxxxx xxxxx HELP! NUMBERS PLEASE!

I mean, how do these people actually manage to delete all of their phone numbers? Are they that inept that they can't maintain their mobile phone? Can they not read the tab amongst several layers of settings labelled 'remove all contacts' or whatever.
