The Football League season kicks off on FRIDAY, so getting this up and running now so those who appreciate that football exists outside of the the Sky 1992 League can get their predictions in.

Other stuff like the League Cup and Waffa Cup (nearly)proper gets going within the next week or so as well. Most major European Leagues start in a fortnight.

Still a whole 21 DAYS to go until the new Premier League season gets under way for those who would rather hang on a week or two to see if the Chavs relieve United of Wazzoh, or Moyesey pulls a Monkey-shaped Welshman out of a party cracker, or just for AbsKelly whose whinge at this being done in the last week of July and not the first week of August has become a yearly highlight for me.
