Biting the tip of your tongue and then dealing with what is really a tiny amount of blood but feels like a fucking torrent?

I have better things to do that keep finding tissues to go "Yep, still bleeding" every two minutes.

Any why the fuck is my natural reaction to bite the end of my tongue to try and bite the sore bit off?
