Thursday Gaming Thread

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 13:25, 17 October '13

Watch Dogs release delayed until 2014 so they can make it even more amazing. Cynics also say it's because GTA is hoovering up all sales and Splinter Cell / Rayman have underperformed so. Either way, suspect a lot of pre-orders of next gen machines are now being canceled.

Zelda bundle of Wii U sees sales increase by almost 900%. Pretty shocking news that; release games, sell consoles. Nintendo also slightly shoot themselves in the foot by saying they realised they didn't have many games lined up and that from start to finish, Wind Waker took 6 months to recode in a rush and sort out, begging the question why they don't do it more often or sooner.

Good interview about Zelda in general:

Weirdly was in CEX and noticed that the Wii U shelf was suddenly looking more interesting to me what with this, Pikmin 3 and Luigi Bros. Still, don't exactly have £300 right now.

Picked up Mirror's Edge for £4 yesterday so will be playing that on Sunday. Might go back and buy a few others too (Bayonetta was £3.50, Deux Ex Revolution £4, Dishonored £10, Dark Souls £10, Gears of War 2 £2).

Completed Tomb Raider 100%. Been years since I did that and thoroughly enjoyed every last second. Genuinely felt a bit lost when I realised that I'd done it all and just went for a last spin around the place. Didn't realise that revisiting the places changes the time of day and the forests I had done initially at night were now lit up by the sun coming up. Was properly beautiful.
