People 'poshing up' standard phrases/cliches

Verbal [Edit] [Delete] 15:35, 18 November '13

(i understand poshing up isn't really the right way to describe it, but w/e)

Anyway, was playing footy last weekend and the other team gets a corner. Everyone's doing the standard 'get on the post' sunday league cliche shizzle trying to sound like we know what we're doing. Then one of our midfielders said 'come on lads! who's marking whom!?' and i laughed for about five minutes. There's just something about that phrase but with 'whom' instead of 'who' which tickled me a lot.

They scored from the corner.

Anyway, anything similar?
