Sriracha Sauce - Friday Condiment Thread

jacques_le_biscuit_ [Edit] [Delete] 09:43, 22 November '13

I know what you've all been thinking and it's not 'christ have people read that weird pervy message I sent 12 months ago' it's 'christ there has not been a quality condiment thread on here for fucking ages'. Rest easy, it's here.

Bought some Sriracha sauce the other day, for the uninitiated this is a hot chilli sauce originating from Thailand or somewhere. Calm it Lucien it's not a Scoville Scrote Licker spice boy kind of affair but a chilli sauce that is midly hot but very flavoursome. You might have seen it on the tables of the thai/vietnamese restaurants you ponce about in and apparently it's also popular in the US, well now you'll see it in my kitchen (which you are of course not invited to).

It's a red chunky bottle with a green spout. It's squeezy and it's easy. If you need to liven up a dish then BAM this is the one. There's two major players in the market and they are Huy Fong and Flying Goose, I went for the latter.

I bought it in an asian cash & carry place (that's a whole different thread) and I emplore you to do the same too.

Who's with me?
