Windows Phones
Work has given me a Nokia Lumia 625.
Initial impressions were not favourable. Then I discovered that when it said it was going to update it just meant it was going to spend ages downloading the Windows 8.1 update and then spend another 20 minutes installing it.
Much like a conventional Windows operating system, it's delivered in a somewhat broken state, spends ages rebooting while installing updates, and comes out the other end looking pretty good, actually.
Anyway, yeah, if you don't care about having 15 apps to choose from to do the same slightly obscure task, it's probably a good choice of device in the mobile market. The tile system is pretty nice on the home screen.
