rolling current TV dramas you're enjoying or ones you're looking forward to over the rest of 2014 thread...
Should've gone for this one first time round, really. Schoolboy error on my part, fellas.
Dawned on me just how many decent telly dramas there are on at the minute. Obviously plenty of stuff comes on the tellybox this time of year so the DVDs can get rushed out for Christmas, but this year there seems to be even more than usual. All of the following are worth watching, bar possibly Homeland but we'll see how that one pans out. Ten, off the top of my head...
Boardwalk Empire, Series 5 (Sky Atlantic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGozysFUgU0
Swift wrapping up of pretty great prohibition era Atlantic City Buscemi series.
Peaky Blinders, Series 2 (BBC1)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_62ZKR9rK0
Otherwise dodgy 1920's Birmingham gangster stuff, saved by Cillian Murphy. Also with Sam Neill, and now Tom Hardy.
The Code (BBC4)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dyp1g-uUFA
Aussie conspiracy drama somewhere between Bird of Prey, Top of the Lake and The Killing.
The Fall, Series 2 (BBC2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXuJONpEpXg
Sexy Gillian Anderson tries to stop the pretty frightening Jamie Dornan from duffing more birds in.
Homeland, Series 4 (C4)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A6vKiOM0Ws
Claire Danes pulls funny faces in the Middle East for another thirteen hours, but thankfully Damien Lewis' dancing eyebrows have fucked off.
The Driver (BBC1)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz8FvrZB3Gg
David Morrissey and Colm Meaney playing unconvincing Mancs in three-part heisty effort.
Fortitude (Sky Atlantic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaGcD6_Wh_o
Scandinavian smalltown murder mystery with the bird in the jumper from The Killing.
Ray Donovan, Series 2 (Sky Atlantic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVmd1y6-rac
Fixer shit, with Jon Voight and Eddie Marsan.
Gomorrah (Sky Atlantic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsMnW43n3AI
Naples mafia serial loosely based on the book/film.
Mammon (More4)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkKkXHWgq-M
Scandinavian crime drama.
Anything else you're currently watching or looking forward to over the rest of the year, British, American or other, or opinions on those of the above you've seen?
