Sexual objectification of humans

yuggy [Edit] [Delete] 20:34, 18 March '15

in your own moral compass, what defines this?

We all see attractive people on the street and might think 'ooo'. We often forge relationships due to an initial physical attraction. We might think about somebody we don't know that well in a sexual way in our heads but when is it objectification and when is it too far?

Like i totally get when it's bad in the media and porn (though is any porn not objectification? sex selfies? 'feminist' porn?) but in day to day life we all feel urges I guess.

I'm only asking this because I've been doing horrible OCD readings into far right Christianity and the way they seriously suppress natural sexual urges otherwise it's 'lust' and you'll burn in hell for that etc. What's the DiS view on it all?
