Jeppe Ronde's Bridgend

ma0sm [Edit] [Delete] 05:48, 14 April '15

A Danish director has made a fiction film based on the spate of supposedly linked suicides in Bridgend, South Wales from 2007.

A load of shit had exploded all over my Facebook about it as a number of those involved were friends of friends. The trailer seems odd because it portrays Bridgend in a way that seems to have almost nothing to do with the town itself (I spent the first 18 years of my life there), so I understand the resentment some have at a potentially insensitive portrayal of something that happened relatively recently. On the other hand though, did people get angry when they made The Impossible? I mean, I did, but that's because I find Ewan McGregor annoying.

So my question is, is this film in good taste? Tell me, oh wise members of this message board.
