Dadsnet advice - Car seats

jontosh2001 [Edit] [Delete] 10:23, 16 April '15

Right then.

Littleun has outgrown his first seat (MaxiCosi pebble) and we're looking at the next size. Expensive stuff!

The recommendations apparently are to keep them rear facing for as long as they can hack it. He's fine facing backwards so want a rear facing seat, but most are either rear OR forward facing. It seems silly to then buy another in a few months when he wants to be forward all the time.

The few 'switchable' isofix ones are mega expensive, apart from this:

Seems to get solid reviews, but it isn't particularly easy to buy (i.e. no shops seem to stock it, you have to order it online).

Any advice, recommendations etc would be great. Don't want to blow loads of cash on a seat that we won't use much.

Annoyingly, the Maxi Cosi Pearl can be 2-way now but not with the Family Fix base (which we have). Otherwised we'd just get that.
