Night / Graveyard Shifters

Antelope [Edit] [Delete] 15:11, 23 April '15

How? How do you do it?

I have just started a new job, with a company that's really lovely and accommodating, so the problem isn't with them. How do you people survive the all-nighters? I'm working the 8pm to 4am shift, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm finding the adjustment difficult. Surely it's not healthy to be working this kind of shift for a prolonged period of time? Any tips?

The worst is getting up at 12pm, no one else home because they're working normal hours, then when everyone has settled in at home after their long days you're picking up your briefcase and heading out for the night. I think the worst thing is knowing all day that you have to go to work later. Just the worst feeling. I miss coming home and knowing "the night is mine".

this has turned into a vent thread.
