Friday Fresh Prince of Bel-Ali Football Thread

confrontedbybears [Edit] [Delete] 03:40, 29 May '15

After getting into a fight on a local basketball court, street-smart Prince Ali bin Hussein of Jordan is sent to challenge Sepp Blatter for the leadership of FIFA.

Amid the frenzy of the corruption scandal it is easy to forget who the real victim of this whole episode is - Luis Suarez. The Uruguay players union feel that his nine-match ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's 2014 World Cup group match in Brazil should be annulled.

"With these facts [of alleged corruption], Fifa's decisions in the last few years have come under a mantle of suspicion.
We have no proof that this [sanction] was made within the framework of illegal actions but nothing guarantees us that it wasn't."

“If Luis Suarez agrees, we will request the end of his suspension on grounds that he was suspended by an organisation suspected of corruption. He was without a doubt the victim of this alleged corruption.”
