Dissertation help

scream_to_a_million [Edit] [Delete] 17:09, 11 June '15

I need to think of an idea for a dissertation soon for next year. Was thinking of either doing something about politics or music (but it has to be somewhat related to my subject).

When it comes to actually doing this stuff I prefer to get a bunch of different texts and analyse them myself. Can't stand doing surveys/interviews so I'll do something which involves as little as that as possible. My only problem with texts is that comparing them can be a nightmare, and can end up being completely irrelevant to what you intended to find out (why I loathe coursework).

I won't ask for ideas because I imagine it's supposed to be entirely your own idea, luckily I already have some (pretty vague) idea, but what techniques did you use to think of something (i.e. brainstorming) and how long did it take you? (And how did it go in the end?)

(also just found out I've passed everything this year so that's ashitload off my mind)
