Shows a general disregard for British businesses and workers, lets them know we don't care about their awful human rights records (even to the extent where we pretty much allow them to curtail freedom of speech in our own country at the Tibet protest yesterday), and yeah generally makes us look like a bunch of stupid weak cheapskates tbh.
I'm all up for diplomacy with rogue nations but I don't really see how tarting ourselves up for some one-sided economic partnership benefits anyone tbh.
Maybe this should've gone in the satire thread.
