An aquaintance of mine has just got extremely upset about people RIPing and posting about the passing of David Bowie and Alan Rickman because people die every day of cancer and that those deaths are not recognised.

Surely, it's totally different? I'm not going to get into an argument with them about it but thought I'd post about it on an annonymous message board instead.
