i want to start recording & mixing some stuff a wee bit more professionally and i've been told i'll need a decent audio&MIDI interface and some monitors... i dont really know what i'm doing so recomendations on other stuff i'll need/where it's prudent for me to spend my money/specific recomendations for a budget of £250ish?

also:
-are any all purpose mics better value than sm58s in that price range?
-free or hacked mastering software suggestions?
